Myth #1: ADHD is just about being hyperactive.

 Reality:

Many experience internal restlessness, emotional dysregulation, or executive function challenges without hyperactivity.

Myth #2: ADHD is something only kids have.

 Reality:

ADHD often continues into adulthood and may even go undiagnosed for years.

Myth #3: People with ADHD are lazy or unmotivated.

 Reality:

ADHD is about brain wiring — not a lack of effort or willpower.

Myth #4: ADHD is all bad.

 Reality:

Many people with ADHD are creative, empathetic, resilient, and thrive in environments that leverage their strengths.

Myth #5: I’m a successful professional—I can’t have ADHD… right?

Reality:

ADHD isn’t about intelligence or achievement. Many adults with ADHD are high-functioning, accomplished, and outwardly “together”—while quietly struggling with focus, overwhelm, time management, or emotional exhaustion. Success doesn’t cancel out ADHD. It just masks it better.

ADHD doesn’t care about your job title. You can be high-achieving and still feel like a hot mess behind the scenes.

If you’ve ever thought, “I should have it together by now,” but secretly feel like you're spinning your wheels—you’re not alone.

There’s a place for you here.
